This story is a vision for making mental healthcare more porous. Our concern is that whenever A attempts to step out of her comfort zone and communicate with others, she fails. B is a friend who likes her only because she reminds her of her dead sister; both of them go to the same school. After school they sit by the bridge while the world passes by. A feels tragic at times, tragic without the occurrence of tragedy. She doesn’t understand this aspect of herself and is unable to talk about it. Sometimes C , who is A ’ s neighbour talks to her over their garden fence. C is a nurse in a mental health facility and suggests that A should consult someone. Only the cat at the gate nods its head.

We want to include the spectrum of wavered imaginations within our realm of social communication and sharing. We imagine tools and systems that will allow perspectives to meet and connect. The tools will enable us to exercise empathy and seed forms of the world which aren’t based on exclusionary principles. We envision a communication model to aid more agile modes of response and flexible caregiving.
